Maddy's Mess

Permalink In a celebratory sort of mood, so I decided to make a celebratory sort of post.  Have you ever had one of those days where everything just seems to go so wonderfully, gloriously right?  Or maybe I’m just becoming giddy.  I don’t think I’ve slept for at least 36, maybe 48 hours, but I am feeling too good to go to bed just yet.  I’m not sure if that actually counts as growing up- seems to be more of a sign of immaturity to me, this inability to keep a schedule or manage my time, but nothing’s going to kill my good mood tonight. What could put me in such a wonderful state of mind, you ask? (Well, actually you didn’t, but I’m going to tell you anyway.) 1) Finals are nearly over here at Janus.  Only one paper left, and it’s an easy one for my favorite professor so it’s all smooth sailing from here. 2) I’m going to finally get to see my sister over the holidays. 3) My independent study project for next semester was finally cleared by the Janus administration.  I’m going to change the world next semester, people, and I’m going to be liveblogging it all here! The only thing that could make me happier right now is caffeine.

Actually, this is not me, but if I had a very interesting life and someone made a movie about it, this is who I would want to play me.  Imagining if I was a gorgeous successful actress, this is what I would look like. My name’s Madeleine Hawthorne and I just started at University of Janus this year.  I’m studying the Art, with an emphasis in smoke and mirrors— although actually, it’s all in your mind. *wiggly fingers and wild eyes*  I do some ritual work on the side too, just because it’s kind of cool. Well, I’m off to find me a drink (of the non-partying variety.)  I seem to be in constant need of caffeine here.  Nobody warned me how exhausting college was going to be. May you sleep well and dream of beauty.
